How the Dashboard Date Range Affects Reports

August 21, 2026

The date-range control in the CMS header determines which period is used by many dashboards, report cards, and support reports. If a report appears empty or its totals differ from what you expected, checking the selected date range is a good first step.

Where to find the date-range filter

On supported dashboard and report pages, the date-range control appears in the page header. Select it to open the calendar, choose a start date and end date, and apply the new range. Reports that use the shared filter reload automatically after the selection changes.

What date range is selected by default?

If you have not selected a range during the current session, the CMS defaults to a period beginning one month ago and ending yesterday. This avoids treating a partially completed current day as a complete reporting day.

After you choose another range, the CMS keeps that selection for the rest of your session as you move between supported pages.

Is the entire end date included?

Yes. Reports using the shared filter include the complete end date, through the end of that day. For example, a range ending June 30 includes activity through 11:59:59 PM on June 30.

What does the website selector do?

Accounts with more than one enabled website may also see a website selector beside the date range. Select All Websites to view combined results when the report supports aggregation, or choose one website to limit results to that site.

  • Reservations: the selector only includes websites configured for online booking.
  • SEO and Traffic & Users: these reports require one specific website because each site connects to its own Google Search Console or Google Analytics property. The All Websites option is not available.
  • Support: tickets and projects are not website-specific, so the website selector is hidden.

Which reports use the shared range?

The shared range is used by many dashboard cards and report areas, including reservation performance, company and rental performance, website usage, support tickets and projects, and time-logged reports. The date being measured can vary by report. For example, one report may use a reservation date while another uses an updated, created, or activity date.

For that reason, two reports using the same range may not always produce matching totals. Each report summarizes a different type of activity.

Why is the header filter missing on some report pages?

Some detailed list pages provide their own filters directly above the results. On those pages, the shared header filter is intentionally hidden so you can filter the list without having two competing date controls.

Examples include:

  • Traffic & Users page and session lists
  • SEO query, page, and keyword lists
  • Reservation market and source reports
  • Knowledge Base list and article pages, where a date filter is not relevant

When a page has a local date filter, use that page's filter instead of the dashboard date range.

Troubleshooting an empty or unexpected report

  1. Confirm the displayed start and end dates.
  2. If available, confirm the selected website or choose All Websites.
  3. Try a wider date range to verify that activity exists.
  4. On SEO and traffic pages, make sure the correct website is selected.
  5. Check whether the page has its own date filter above the results.
  6. Remember that different reports may use different activity dates.
