Oliver stays in constant synchronization with your property management software (PMS). This article will review what kind of data syncs between systems and the timing of sync. While each PMS has nuances to which and how data is synced, we will cover general concepts that are true across most data connections.
Type of data kept in sync
Instead of syncing every bit of data with each sync run, we break it down into categories or chunks so as to be able to sync more frequently.
Property Data
- Basic: Your basic property information, including bedrooms, bathrooms, max occupancy and address.
- Block/Availability: Blocked dates on the property calendar.
- Description: Full property descriptions and teasers.
- Feature: Amenities, features and custom fields.
- Photo: Photos and photo sort order.
- Rate: Daily, weekly, weekend, monthly and other rate definitions.
- Restriction: Minimum-night stay restrictions.
- Review: Guest reviews.
- Status: Active/inactive status of property.
- Title: Property names/titles.
- Turn Day: Turn-day requirements.
- Videos: Videos and video sort order.
Reservation Data
- Contact: Guest contact records.
- Reservation: Guest reservation records.
You have the ability to enable/disable any one of the above PMS sync categories or data points from your software screen in Oliver (see Connections). For instance, you may want to manage property names or descriptions separately in Oliver VS your PMS. In that case, you would disable Title or Description under Sync Options.

While the above data sync schedule is automatic, you have the ability to manually trigger a real-time sync with your PMS via Oliver CMS (see Rentals or Reservations pages).
